The Pilates method is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates at the beginning of the 20th century, based on sequences of controlled and precise movements. He works on a team of devices designed by himself.

PILATES TARRACO

A project committed to physical education, the promotion of comprehensive health and psycho-social well-being. The company, created by Raïssa Janer in 2014, teaches and preserves the Authentic Pilates Method: a unique and genuine system of physical conditioning created by Joseph H. Pilates at the beginning of the 20th century.

He is currently a partner of the College of Doctors of Tarragona.

THE STUDY

We are located in the mezzanine of Casa Salas, a modernist building protected as a cultural asset of local interest, on Rambla Nova in Tarragona, the work of the Tarragona architect Ramon Salas i Ricomà. The studio has the complete equipment for the correct practice of the Pilates Method, faithful to the original design and manufactured by the prestigious Gratz brand.

PERSONALIZED SESSIONS

We personalize the sessions and study each case to apply the most suitable movement protocol to each person and offer the best service. Professionals linked to the Romana's Pilates International school, an organization that preserves the legacy of Joseph Pilates since 1967. We apply the most suitable movement protocol for each person and work with the specific equipment designed for the correct practice of the Method .

    Individual class to determine the most suitable physical conditioning and training program, based on the Pilates Method, depending on the general state of health of the person, their physical condition, biological characteristics and factors

  • Personalized classes

    We conduct a personal interview to identify objectives and expectations of the user, who will receive detailed information about PILATES TARRACO and the work methodology. Our team of specialized teachers will provide technical advice regarding the different types of Pilates classes we offer, according to criteria of health promotion and wellness.

We introduce ourselves:

Pilates director and teacher

Raïssa Janer (1980, Barcelona) is a certified teacher by "Romana's Pilates International" School since 2008, trained directly by Javier Pérez Pont and Esperanza Aparicio. 

Her professional beginnings are linked to modern-jazz dance. She has been working as a Pilates teacher since she became certified. In 2014 she opened her own studio in Tarragona.  In 2024 she has been recognized as "Level IV instructor trainer", she collaborates actively with Javier Perez in teacher training and in Romana's Pilates Spain community as coordinator. Raïssa, who is interested in the human being in all its dimensions, combines her activity in "Pilates Tarraco" with Sociology. 

Her passion for movement, health and wellness leads her to develop her profession with a broad and integrative perspective.

Student of Romana's Pilates International and trainee teacher on the studio.

Physiotherapy assistant and clinical assistant, manual therapy technician (chiromassage, kinesiology). Specialist in neuromuscular reflexology by the Spanish reflexology school of the Joaquín Muñoz system. Collaborator of Airedeterra since 2018, providing support and therapeutic advice and teaching postural re-education sessions with the basics of Pilates and corrective gymnastics. Professional member of the "National Association of Professionals and Self-employed Natural Therapies" Cofenat.

Advice and support

Barcelona, 1973. Jordi is an Engineer in Industrial Organization, with extensive management experience in the field of Operations. Since 2018, it has been closely linked to the Airedeterra project and regularly collaborates with it, providing support and advice.
